PAUL PADDICK

Paul played many roles through primary and high school with his first being “Jesus” in the smash hit Sam the Good Samaritan in grade 5. In 1981 he was in the South Australian youth Opera production of “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” and in 1982 their production of “The Snow Queen”.

After finishing high school in 1983 Paul joined Mayfair amateur theatre company and had leads in Oklahoma, Brigadoon and Maid of the Mountains. From 1985-1987 he completed a Bachelor of Music majoring in classical voice at the South Australian College of Advanced Education. From 1989-1991 he completed a Graduate Diploma of Performing Arts in Theatre at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).

While in his last year at WAAPA Paul auditioned for, and got, the role of Diesel in Victoria State Opera(VSO)/ International Management Groups production of ‘West Side Story” which ran from 1992-1994. Later in 1994 he played the role of the Robber King in the VSO production of ”Don Quixote” (all in French). Also in 1994 he filled in for Anthony Wiggle (the blue guy) for 5 weeks of an Australian Wiggles tour and some how has never managed to leave!!!! Paul has played the role of Captain Feathersword for 21 years now and has entertained children in America, Canada, China,Singapore, the UK, New Zealand, South Africa and Italy in TV, films and live shows.
