’tis the concert season!

Please read this newsletter to the end – there is essential information for all students and their families!

This is such a busy time with concerts coming up – we are SO excited! Costumes are being handed out, tickets are being purchased and dances are being polished.

In this newsletter you’ll find CLASS CHANGES! Concert Info, Creative Movement information and Holiday details.

All concert details are on the website including ticketing details and aconcert FAQ. Please check which concert your child is in. The name of their class does not indicate which concert they have been placed in. Some families have already found this confusing and booked the wrong concert.

We really need more parent volunteers for the concerts. Please remember that without parent help we can not run these concerts. Parents give up their time so that your children have the chance to be in the concerts, please consider doing the same for others. We really appreciate everyone who helps out – THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS!

Anyone not continuing a class or adding a class please tell us NOW so that we give you first preference  Email Lisa@kickdance.com.au

Look forward to seeing everyone in the audience for the concerts!

Miss Lisa, Miss Char and the Kick Team

Saturday classes will finish with the Concert on the 5th November. Tuesday and Thursday classes will finish on the 22nd and 24th of November. Saturday students are welcome to join these classes.

Our current students are our priority and we offer places to them first. Please let us know what you want your child to do in 2017 now so we can ensure their placement.  Choices for Twinkle stars are to stay in these classes (and we will have Tuesday classes in 2017 also) or move into Creative Movement – please see Miss Kate for advice.  Choices for Creative Movement are to stay in Creative Movement and move to an older class (recommended for three year olds) or move to Beginner level in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre and Irish Dancing. We have combination classes that run back to back so please don’t hesitate to discuss options with us. Can you also indicate whether you would like an after school or Saturday class.

To tell us your preferences click below or head to the Kick Dance website.

The Junior concert is nearly sold out! We have so many new families, just a reminder that if your child is dancing in the concert they DO NOT need a ticket. Dancers are not permitted in the auditorium during the concert. If you accidentally booked a ticket for your child who is in the concert please let Natalya know on natgreenwood@gmail.com

If you can no longer attend the Junior concert or have tickets that you won’t use please contact Natalya and she may be able to resell them.

We need parents to help out with our concerts as volunteers. Please do not volunteer for the concert that your child is in, but we would love to have your help on another night. If your child is in the senior concerts please consider the junior or intermediate concerts, and vice versa.

These concerts are a huge undertaking and could not be staged without parent support. If you could lend a hand please contact Paula Crowley at paulacrowley@hotmail.com  It is through other parents help that your child is able to perform, we appreciate you giving your time to facilitate the same for other children.

Please remember that parents are not allowed backstage other than picking up and dropping off their children. Please do not go backstage during intermission. This is to respect the privacy and security of our dancers.

We have wonderful raffles at all of our concerts, it’s a fantastic fundraiser to help keep costs down. We ask parents to kindly donate to the raffle prizes. Please give the prizes to Miss Lisa or contact her regarding where to drop themlisa@kickdance.com.au
